All our Silver Frames, are manufactured in The United Kingdom, and are guaranteed for their Quality of Fineness , done through the British system of Hallmarking, shown in symbols below. Hallmarking/s are done by an appointed Office of guild workers in an ASSAY OFFICE.

1.Makers Mark: Symbol

This symbol represents the manufacturers private mark, in our case "RH".

2.Standard of Quality : Symbol.

The Lion Passant is the symbol for Sterling Silver from England . Sterling Silver, represents that the quality of Silver used, in this case is a minimum of 92.5% or (925)

3.Standard of Purity: Symbol

Furhthermore to the symbol, above, is another mark representing quality, and that is the Numerical symbol (925), meaning that the silver used in that frame, is of 92.5% purity. 925 parts / of 1000 parts, are pure silver.

4. Town of Assay. Symbol.

This is represented by, "The Anchor for Birmingham ".

This indicates the town in which the frame was Assayed or "Stamped".

5.Year of Manufacture. Symbol

This is represented by as Alphabetical "Letter", changed every 26 years, by its "Font", and again, by the "Shield" shape surrounding it.

History of AG Frames

AG Frames, was started in South Africa in 2003, by two gentlemen, with the initials A + G, in a mutual venture.

The letters "ag" also happen to be chemical symbol for the metal called - Silver.
